Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
When is your next released book? The first book in the Pursued Series is in it's final stages with the publisher. We are hoping to have it released in the first half of 2023! The first book in the Pondering Mormon Series is scheduled to be released in September, 2023. The goal is to have a new book published every three months after that date.
What are you working on now? Once all seven books in the Pondering Mormon Series have been released I will start on a non-fiction series on dealing with addiction before finishing the final two books in the Pursued Series. After that I have a great dream to start digging into some very exciting fiction projects! I’ve never read your work before, where should I start? It depends on your background. Anyone trying to find fulfillment and meaning in life through partying, drinking, and hooking up should read The Pursued Series; as well as anyone trying to find purpose through degrees, jobs, wealth, and status. If you're a Christian wrestling with addiction or backsliding, if you hate christians and think religion is stupid, the Pursued books are for you. If you believe that there's got to be more hope in this life you just can't find it, you're in the right place. If you've got a history with Mormonism, live in a mormon area, want to reach a mormon friend with the gospel I would recommend starting with The Pondering Mormon Series. Who are your books written for? Although I mostly write for drug addicts and Mormons, you don't have to belong to either group to enjoy my work. In fact, most of my readers don't belong to either group. Many of my readers are Christians who are trying to reach their community with the love of God. Others are atheists who have given up altogether on the idea of a loving God. While The Pondering Mormon Series is written to help LDS people find and understand the Christian God, the gospel, and the Jesus of the Bible, it is helpful to anyone who wants to reach a Mormon. Who would these books appeal to? While the books that i've written target very specific demographics, they're also designed to appeal to anyone who's associated with people from those demographics. Maybe you've never touched a drug in your life or had a drinking problem, but someone you know wrestles with these things. Maybe you're in High School or College haplessly drinking and partying, maybe your not an addict yet, but you're well on your way. Maybe you are convinced that partying is the best way to live a full life. Maybe you've overdosed three times and still can't seem to stop. Maybe you're a parent whose tried everything and whose heart is breaking for their lost child or grandchild. Maybe your agnostic or atheistic but your open to the idea that we must be here for some reason, other than just to die and lose everything we've ever earned or worked for. Maybe you grew up with religious people and decided their faith is empty. Maybe you've never really been exposed to a born again Christian? Maybe you've been so burned by religion it makes you want to vomit in your mouth. These books are designed to help you process those hurts and help you find the God of hope! Why do you write books for Mormons if you're not one?I have a HUGE heart for Mormons. I've lived around them my entire life. I grew up in the heart of Utah County, the most mormon place on earth. I have grown to love the LDS people and through decades of conversations with them I have come to learn how mormonism is different from Christianity. The members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are some of the sweetest and kindest people on earth. Their church however, teaches a doctrine and theology that is very different from the Bible, Christian doctrine, and Christian theology. I write these books to help people sort out what they've been taught and how it compares to what God's word teaches. I write them with a heart full of love! I write longing and hoping that my words might help them connect with the heart of God!
